As part of our partnership with the European reference centre for animal welfare for poultry and other small farmed animals (EURCAW Poultry SFA), we realized two infographics on pullets‘ outdoor and litter access. Pullets are young hens, under 16 weeks old.
These graphics tools are designed for field professionals and are based on EURCAW recommendations to enhance pullet welfare!

Keep in mind
- Early outdoor access has several benefits, such as reducing pecking behaviors.
- Litter is essential for the expression of various behaviors and provides comfort during dustbathing.
- Dustbathing helps poultry maintain the thermoregulatory properties of their feathers.
